About The Shop

This pawn shop has been in operation for twelve years & in this location for over eight years. I moved the store to a new 6000 sq ft building in 2004. The pawn & payday stores occupy 3750 sq ft plus a 1300 sq ft storage building. There are two other store fronts in this strip mall that I lease out. There is also a drive-up coffee kiosk in the parking lot. The location is on state hiway 34, which has great visibility. The current economy has been a boom for us with a lot of new customers in the past couple of years. A couple of years ago we added "i wireless" cell phone sales which has also increased traffic flow.

There is approximately $90,000 (cost) in inventory which of coarse changes daily. We also have around $67,000 in fixtures, office equipment and supplies. The pawn shop on average has $35,000 loaned per month plus interest (we charge 25%), plus retail sales. The payday loan business loans $6,000-$9,000 per week with varying interest rates.

I run both of these businesses with myself & one full time employee. I also have a partime person that comes when needed. This is NOT your typical dark & dingy pawn shop, we are VERY clean, organized and well respected in the community. We have a WIDE variety of inventory & loyal customers. This is a turn key operation, I will stay on for an agreed period of time to help you with the transition.

Why Sell?

Now, a quick note as to why I wish to sell; my wife has already retired & now I feel it's my turn. We have plans to travel and enjoy ourselfs now that our kids are grown. If you're wanting to get out of the bigger city rat race, this is great safe place to raise your family with good schools, community college, hospital, shopping and housing.

The quality of life here is awesome; no pollution, great camping, hunting & fishing, knowing all your neighbors. I must sound like a commercial, but we moved here in 1982 and have loved it ever since. The best way to make this kind of decision is to come and check it out for yourself.
